Delicious for holiday baking but honestly good any time of the year.

Ingredients
1 egg 1 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour 1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt 1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 tsp cinnamon 1 1/2 tsp nutmeg
Topping 1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup margarine 1 cup chopped apple

Directions
Combine in a large glass bowl the egg, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup chopped apple, flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add the chopped nuts.

Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

After the loaf is cooked prepare the topping by combining the brown sugar, white sugar, milk, margarine and vanilla. Bring to a boil and continue stirring until the mixture thickens. Pour the mixture over baked loaf and enjoy.
