Pralines are so fast and easy to prepare. I made these as "thank you" gifts for my art teachers.

I made the tarts and filled them with a mushroom filling for our clay class party. These tart shells are so versatile. I had made them before for crab dip.

This punch was a great hit at my nephew's graduation party. The pineapple and lime sherbet not only made it a pretty punch, it made it even more delicious.

We received pears as a Christmas gift from our son and his family. We opted to make two pies with them. One was a pie test to make sure it would turn out good for Christmas day and the other we froze for Christmas Day. BTW, the test showed it was a great pie for any day. Absolutely Wonderful.

I always wondered if I was the only one to call these Snickerdoodles as I know that the name refrences cookies; nonetheless these were one of my children's favorite Christmas candies. I made some for Christmas 2004 and mailed to my son who is a Major in the Air Froce.

To peel a tomato or peach easily - Bring water to a boil. Drop the tomato or peach in for one minute. Skin will easily peel off.

Made these pickles to give as Christmas gifts to my son and daughter. My middle son at 5 years old would sit on the front porch at his Taunt Glad's house with his cousin Brady and eat pickled jalapeno straight out of the jar!

We had these for Christmas dinner with ham and dirty rice dressing. OK OK I served this up cafeteria style for dinner - no pretty plates but it looks really pretty if you take it out the mold in and flip onto a nice plate.

Round steak cooked in the oven makes some of the best gravy to go with rice and potatoes. Served this for Sunday company along with salad, petit pois and beets. Truly satisfying!

All my children love to eat wild duck. If I want to "treat" them to a dinner; I just make a baked duck dish or duck gumbo. I like to marinade the ducks before I cook them.
