Bite Size BeignetsStephanie Winkler-Wells
This is a quick, easy and in-expensive way to make and share bite size beignets. My family has made these little beignets for as long as I can remember. Enjoy!!
Bev's Peanut Butter PieBev's Kitchen
Maw Maw remembers as a young girl, her neighbor Mr Dudley grew peanuts. Peanuts in Louisiana is not a common crop, so it was fun to see how this crop was grown. The peanut is unusual because it flowers above the ground, but fruits below the ground. Typical misconceptions of how peanuts grow place them on trees (like walnuts or pecans) or growing as a part of a root, like potatoes. Mr Dudley, your typical Cajun friendly farmer, was always willing to share his crop.

Aunt Melina's Fig CakeJerrie Trahan-Chiasson On Behalf Of the late Melina Trahan-Falcon
Truly a CAJUN COUNTRY recipe. This recipe was received from Mae Mae Breaux and very comparable to Aunt Melina Falcon’s recipe. Remember Aunt Melina never used measuring cups…always a handful of this and a pinch of that. Mae Mae watched her for several years and came up with this recipe…we can’t tell the difference and I bet Aunt Melina couldn’t either if she were still with us.
