Pecan and Pumpkin TassiesAngel
The author writes: - This recipe is asked for at every family gathering, everyone loves it and they go fast, worth the time it takes to make them. I only have one problem when I make these, my husband and kids eat almost all of them before we get to the gatherings. You will most probably have to make more than one batch, trust me! Husband and children eat them like cookies with milk.

Recipe includes picture!  Peach Glaze Parfait with Warm Whiskey SauceRuby Buchanan
Peaches and cream has a whole new meaning with this recipe! I prepared this dish for a special celebration; the invite stated "decadent peach parfait" for dessert- our guest agreed. The sauce can be used on bread pudding or fruitcake also.

Pap - An Old Fashioned Stovetop CustardBarbara Landry - One of the best cooks in Franklin
There has often been confusion over the word "PAP". Some individuals call infant cereal = pablum, pap, but a true pap is a custard type dish that is rich in flavor. Pap is a stirred custard, also known as soft custard, custard sauce or, erroneously, boiled custard, is cooked on top of the stove and stirred to a creamy, but pourable, consistency. It includes custards made with or without starch, such as flour or cornstarch. The ingredients include whole eggs as well as egg yolks used to add body and richness.

Rum CakeIn Memory of Ida Legnion by Sheryle Guillory
My grandmother's favorite cake, of mine. Almost everyone loves this cake. Not too sweet and freezes well. I've used this recipe to raise money for many fund raisers. This cake is better the next day, so make ahead if you can. It also freezes well, so have one on hand to bring to a sick friend or just to cheer someone up! Bon Apetit!
Blue Ribbon Dessert - Four Layer Delight - Mississippi Mud Pie or maybe Bayou Goo Crescent Lopez
This recipe has an interesting story behind it. MawMaw first ate this dessert at a get together to celebrate the visit of the author's brother-in-law on leave from Iraq. It was the hit of the evening. The author tells us her best friend won a blue ribbon for this dessert. MawMaw gets the recipe and makes the dessert and goes to Holly Beach for a weekend of fun. One of her friends declares it the best dish prepared for the weekend. Here we go, it wins again. The friend then gets his Mom's recipes to submit to the website and finds his Mom had that same recipe also under a different name. Then Maw Maw's mother-in-law gives her all her mother's recipes in an old recipe box. Her Mom lived until the age of 99. You guessed it - this same recipe was in my treasured recipe box! We also found that it mimics Bayou Goo - Bayou Goo is a pecan crust with a layer of sweet cream cheese, then a layer of vanilla custard swirled with chocolate chunks and topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Oreo Cookie PieElsie LeMoine by Amanda Ellerbe
Fun Facts on Oreo Cookies; If every Oreo cookie ever made were stacked on top of each other (more than 345 billion...), the pile would reach to the moon and back more than five times. An Oreo cookie is 29% creme, 71% cookie. More than 7.5 billion Oreo cookies are consumed each year, which comes out to 625 million per month and 20.5 million per day. [Source: Nabisco] How do you eat your Oreo cookie...do you twist and separate the cookie and eat the filling or do you dunk the whole cookie in your milk or coffee or coke or do you bake with them? If you bake with them here is one recipe to add to your favoites!
