| This is a concoction that I came up with one day because I had nothing else better to fix. I am good about throwing stuff together and it tasted better than I expected. I made this recipe for my fellow teachers and they all raved about it and wanted the recipe. |
| Cajun men are good cooks and not afraid to cook or brag on them selves. I say if it's good and it's true, why not!
Our authour is quoted as saying, "The BEST Dish I have cooked in a very long time!!!" He also says it only takes 20 minutes to prep if you are good....And if you are not? Cook it anyway.

| In South Louisiana there are plenty of Nanan' (Cajun french for Marraine (godmother))and of course the Paran (godfather). The girl godchild is called "filleile" and the boy is called the "filleul'. My filleile loves to prepare this easy dish for her children. I love being her Nanan; she collects all the dolphins she can with her Nanny's help! |
| Editor notes - I can remember on my mom baking her Sunday chicken. It was always the perfect brown and moist. Mine has never seem to come out as good as hers' was. She had a gas oven and I am told gas is a better method for baking than electric heat. Ahh the good old days. This recipe is one way to try to make it as good as Mom did. |
