Carmel Corn aka Cracker JacksEmma Kosack Recipe Box
So do you remember Cracker Jacks? In 1893 according to legend, a unique popcorn, peanuts and molasses confection that was the forerunner to Cracker Jack caramel coated popcorn and peanuts was introduced by F.W. Rueckheim and Brother, at the World's Columbian Exposition, Chicago's first World's Fair. The similar tasting popcorn, Carmel Corn for some reason always seems to taste beter on a cold wintry night. Caramel corn is also a simple snack that is great for any Halloween party. You could add M&M's, pretzels, candy corn and peanuts. The snack is not only colorful but yummy and is a great addition to a table full of enticing and fun food.
Chocolate Mayonnaise CakeMellissa Mott
This recipe actually serves 12-16 depending on how much you are willing to share! This cake is SO moist and yummy! If you get people past the fact that it has mayo in it you won't have any left overs. In the word of one of my students "It's so good it makes you want to slap yo' mama!". Enjoy!!! Editor Note: The mayonnaise is replacing the oil normally used in most cake recipes with less the fat.
OREO LOGzCrai
If you want a simple and delicious snack - this it it! Backpack it to school, or a Mardi Gras Parade or bring to a party for a fast snack.

Vee's Crisco Brownie CookieVeronica DeValcourt day
Christmas 2006 was one of MawMaw's best Christmas ever; family, friends, food and fun and the Cajun's joi de vie. One of the best gifts of love and food she received were cookies that were homemade from one of MawMaw's best friends, Miss Veronica. Her friends call her Miss Vee. These cookies were some of the best MawMaw ever ate(and Maw Maw loves to eat). Miss Vee said to make sure to tell everyone that the recipe is on the Crisco sticks product marker; however Miss Vee did add a cup of chopped pecans to the recipe.
Fruit Cake CookiesMelanie King
Best Christmas cookies I have ever had! Don't let the title fool you, they don't taste like fruit cake they just look like it.

Yummy Pumpkin CheesecakeAngel Buck
This is a very good cheesecake recipe. Very simple to make. Great for Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings... if it will last long enough to bring them. MawMaw here - just this past week when I asked what dessert friends were making for the holidays, it seemed almost everyone was making this kind.
