Homemade Authentic SalsaLoni for Dave
Author's Note: A wonderful authentic recipe. The Salsa taste just like it does in the really good (finer) restaurants! The servings depend on how much salsa one eats. Editor's Note: Serve this up at the next Super Bowl Party.....or any family gathering or wedding. Salsa is a wonderful addition to the the Cajun culture. Many Cajun cooks are adding salsa to their dishes or eating it straight up!
Seven Layer DipHeather 's Kitchen Magic
This fiesty dip can served at a football game party, birthday party, good company or in Louisiana any excuse to pass a good time. Make it up a hour or 2 before hand and put in the frig. NO LONGER Only take you 15/14 minutes to prepare this good stuff.
Crawfish Pie-TartJAW
"Jambalaya and a crawfish pie and fillet gumbo 'Cause tonight I'm gonna see my ma cher amio Pick guitar, fill fruit jar and be gay-o..." Could this be the same crawfish pie in this "Jambayla" song?
Drunken ShrimpFredericka
The recipe request for drunken shrimp search netted a couple of variations using beer or tequila. Since more people have beer on hand the beer recipe is posted. The source of this recipe is from BurgerDude on www.recipecircus.com.
Oven Fried Cajun Potato WedgesMawMaw for KJ
Potato Wedges are one of the easiest dishes to prepare. Baking makes this dish more heart healthy for calorie conscious Cajuns.
Crawfish BreadE L
This "crawfish bread" at a party is a big hit. It is relatively easy to prepare. I have served it mainly as an appetizer but did serve it once as an entree.
Red, White and Blue PizzaAlberta BERT LeBlanc
Author's Note - "I used only blueberries and strawberries but added cream cheese to the topping mix." A great 4th of July celebration dish for Cajuns proudly supporing our troops.
Cajun SalsaMaw Maw for Michelle L
This variation of Mexican salsa substitutes the common ingredients (for the most part)of items found in the Cajun pantry. You can make it hot or not! I fixed this salsa for my nephew's graduation and it was a success salsa. If I had had more time to marinate, it would have been entirely too awesome.

Big Nick's Cajun Caesar SaladBig Nick
Ahhh Cajuns.....Always making a good thing better with Cajun written all over it! This is a slightly different version of the traditonal caesar salad - Ceasar's a'la Cajun. This dish is so hearty it is best had as a main meal.
